Unfortunately, the popularity of this petition has somewhat died out in the last few days, but don't worry, you can still keep re-sharing! Send to your friends on SMS or social media, or do it on X (formerly Twitter), Reddit, YouTube. Roblox, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, WhatsApp, and more social media platforms! Keep sharing to try to ensure we can tell YouTube to not do it!
We only have a week left, and if this petition doesn't have any effect on August 13th or later, this petition will not be closed, but it will be still open to ensure YouTube will remove that policy, if it goes into effect. I will make the petition a victory if the feature eventually ends up getting shelved after August 13th, but hopefully, let's hope to get 50k signatures (or even more) by August 13th, and chances are, we may win! My hope is that you can share this petition to your favorite YouTubers, regardless if they have a big or small channel, and let's hope that famous, big, mainstream YouTubers will endorse this petition! If that happens, the chances of us winning are more likely!
And UPDATE: IDs aren't always required to verify your age during this new system, but they are still an option, and since most people may resort to it, it still poses security risks, as it may still cause a data breach anyway. The other options, selfie/face-scanning and credit cards, have been both proven to have loopholes.
Still, stay safe, everyone, and keep sharing on social media!
