Starbridge is a New York State Parent Training and Information Center- they have created a program called TIES that promotes the participation of students and young adults who have developmental disabilities in inclusive, organized extracurricular and community activities through the support of trained student volunteers. Imagine if we had a program in our area like this, that was tailored to the needs of the youth with exceptionalities in our community. That is what we are advocating for!!
