5 Feb 2017
Dear fellow advocates,
THANK YOU for all of your support!! Thanks to YOUR voices, the PA Spinal Cord Disability Research Grant Bill has been introduced as Senate Bill 31. To those of you who live in Pennsylvania, we would be honored to have you join us at one of the following events this week to recognize this accomplishment, and your presence at these events would be extremely helpful to the cause:
- TOWN HALL Meeting at Shriners Children's Hospital Auditorium on the 9th Floor, on Tuesday, February 7th, from 7pm-9pm. Come meet SCI researchers from Temple, Drexel and Thomas Jefferson who will be there to discuss their incredible work, along with our group of advocates who will be there to discuss their stories and next steps for the bill.
- PRESS RELEASE in the Rotunda of the Capitol Building, Harrisburg on Wednesday, February 8th at 10:00 am. Here, legislators will announce the introduction of our bill, Senate Bill 31, the Spinal Cord Disability Research Bill. We need YOUR help showing our legislators that this bill is important to many of our SCI patients, families and advocates. If you are able, please join us at the Capitol on Wednesday morning and help us fill the Rotunda with our supporters!!!
If you would like more information on either of these events, please like our Facebook page "PA for the Cure." If you would like to learn more about PA for the Cure and read blogs written by our advocates, you can do so at https://paforthecure.wordpress.com/.
Thank you again for your support of the SCI Community.
