Opportunities for more advocacy: New Paradigm action list

Hello all, If you're reading this, it's because you care about mountain biking in Marin County. New Paradigm Trail Group believes in firmly pushing for more narrow trail access throughout the county, with all of the land management agencies. We believe in the power of large groups of people to generate change. Whether that's by speaking out to their representatives at meetings or through mail and phone calls, assembling for rides and events that call attention to the user group's need for access, or pushing for political change/upheaval, we think the more people that hear our call for equality and parity... the better. If we do not let decision-makers see our numbers and hear the concerns, how can we expect change? With this in mind, New Paradigm is asking for interested mountain bikers to consider joining our action email list. This list will only be used for alerting mountain bikers of upcoming land management meetings that require attendance, opportunities for activism rides or events which could generate change, important elections, prime moments to email supervisors and directors, etc. These emails will be brief and direct, with instructions about how we can all come together to apply pressure for change. This will not be a discussion list. We anticipate an email roughly every week or so, depending on what is going on. Joining does not mandate any obligations, and if you'd like to unsubscribe down the road, simply email back. The idea behind this list is to make it as easy as possible for riders to collectively make their voices heard up and out; not just amongst ourselves. The more voices, the better.
