Nigeria is a country that is lacking in basic infrastructures. The health, education, security and economic sectors are in great danger and this consistently affects the quality of life of the average Nigerian. The government as hard as they try continues to drop the ball in these areas and Civil society organisations are always needed to pick up the slack. As a matter of fact, CSOs and NGOs play a huge role in the provision of basic amenities and infrastructure in the country. Citizen's go is an ultraconservative (read as hate and bigotry) organisation founded in Madrid in 2013. they made their way into Africa in the last few years and have been spreading doctrines they describe as religious and have been working to set women's rights back in countries like Nigeria. Nigeria is currently losing scores of people to insecurity on a weekly basis, rape on the rise and the consistent decline in health services accompanied by the medical brain drain one would think a Christian organisation will come in with a helping hand. THIS IS NOT THE CASE.  Organisations like Citizen go add nothing but hate and an escalation of biases that impede upon our growth as a nation. This organisation is not here to better Nigeria or improve our lives, opportunities, economic life, educational sector and health sectors. They are here to influence the people with hate and tear down our slowly growing economy by exposing women and children to preventable death. This is not only about Marie Stopes, but this is also about the lives of women. Sexual health and rights are an important part of women's lives. Woman are exposed to so much pain by virtue of our biology and we live in a country where maternal mortality rates are astronomically high.
