Thank you again for signing our #IvoryFreeCanada petition for a ban on the domestic sale of elephant ivory within Canada. A lot has happened since our last email!

1. We're so excited that these great organisations have joined us to create the Ivory-Free Canada Coalition: Humane Society International-Canada, World Elephant Day, Global March for Elephants & Rhinos–Toronto and the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada. Our collective voice is so much stronger!
2. More countries have banned their domestic trade of elephant ivory, putting additional pressure on the Canadian government, including China, UK, France, Netherlands, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Belgium, Luxembourg, and nearly every US state.
3. The coalition has sent 3 letters to the federal government and encouraged thousands of people to send emails to their local MPs. We have requested a ban on the import of elephant hunting trophies, as well as the domestic elephant ivory trade.
4. We just released the "500,000 Signatures by World Elephant Day" campaign. Our petition is at 430,000 today so we are very close, but we need your help. Please ask your social world to sign and share the www.change.org/IvoryFreeCanada petition. Copy any of the messages below if you don't feel creative right now!
