Hello friends,

Change.org has just informed us our #ivoryfreecanada petition you signed asking for a ban on the domestic trade of elephant ivory, was their 2nd most popular Canadian petition in 2018! We only have you to thank for that success so - THANK YOU!

But the Canadian government is stalling. We wrote them with your petition 10 months ago and the woeful reply was just a refusal to a phone meeting. Not one word about elephants! The petition is now at 277,800 signatures. When we get to 300,000 signatures we will write again demanding an answer on the proposed ivory ban. We will also send a press release to the media so the government will feel some pressure. The last press release featured the petition on CTV Breakfast Television (attached), in the Globe and Mail and in the National Post.

We need your help! We have to reach 300K by next week to send the press release at the best time. Please share the petition (www.bit.ly/ivoryfreepetition) far and wide, one last time and ask your friends to please share as well. We only need 22,200 signatures by next week. We can do this for the elephants!
