This Sunday - August 12 - is World Elephant Day!
But soon there will be no elephants and no special day for them. The best way to save elephants from extinction is to stop selling their body parts. A whopping 71% of Canadians think it is illegal to buy or sell elephant ivory within Canada. It isn't illegal. But it should be.
To encourage the Canadian government to make laws protecting the world's remaining elephants, we need to show this is what most Canadians want. To do that, we need more signatures on the #ivoryfreecanada petition. Thank you so much for already signing this petition. Please help us get to 200,000 signatures by World Elephant Day this Sunday by sharing this message (or the attached, very unprofessional video) on facebook and Twitter:

Just 7,000 signatures to go! Thank you for helping to save elephants.
