Application Withdrawn - No ZBA meeting tomorrow

Dear Protect Fishing Creek and No Rock Quarry friends 

We have been notified that Langham Branch Quarry Company has withdrawn their application as of 1-11-2022.  

The York County Zoning Board of Appeals will not hear any arguments relating to the Quarry. 

So you do not need to attend the January 13, 2022 meeting. 

Please help us get the word out that we do not need to go to the meeting Thursday. 

We will be posting this on Facebook pages and emailing out on our list. I know there are persons that are not on Facebook and or emails, if you know someone that are not connected please call them. 

What does this mean? 

The quarry has not been denied and can be reapplied maybe? We will check into this. 

We will need to monitor this and be able to respond in case there is movement in this area. But the good news is we are prepared and can mobilize in a short time. 

As of now we are canceling our meetings until further notice. This will give us time to evaluate this situation. After we feel we have a good understanding of the situation we will schedule a meeting to finalize any outstanding issues.

On a personal note I am so proud of this community and the response we have received. I am amazed at the willingness to work together of persons from different walks of life. I have said this before but if there is a positive to come out of this is meeting all the good neighbors in our community.
