The West Island Jewish Community Centre has been given a sentence, and its doors will be closed on October 31st, 2014. BUT! WE CAN SAVE IT. 

How? It's simple. We need to show them that this centre means more to us then just a few fitness classes or a place to send your kids. It's a family. One that doesn't judge and is accepting. Though we're named the Jewish Community Centre anyone who has been knows that we're more than open to anyone who walks through those doors. There is no other place like it in the community.

There are two ways you can help:

1) Sign the petition and like us on Facebook! Actions SPEAK LOUDER. Tell them that what they're doing WILL NOT go unnoticed and because of their decision we will be losing our community.

2) Donate! Any and all donations will help. Cheques are payable to the YM-YWHA-West Island) and can be dropped off directly or mailed to 13101 Gouin blvd, Pierrefonds, Quebec H8Z 1X1. Remember to include your name and address for a tax receipt. **Your cheque will ONLY be cashed IF we hit our goal.

Ask anyone who has ever been a part of this community, young or old, Jewish or not and you'll get the same answer. This place is worth saving. Please help us do so.
