Construction will start at Gipps Street on the eastern side of the street and will continue south, with each block taking approximately two weeks to complete (except Derby Street to Peel Street which will take longer due to kerb renewal works). When the east side of Wellington Street is complete, work will commence on the west side of the street, starting at Victoria Parade and heading northwards to Gipps Street. Works will typically be undertaken on Monday to Friday between 7:30am-4:30pm though some after hours and Saturday works maybe required. During the works parking will not be permitted adjacent to the construction zone, though once construction has been completed, parking will be allowed in designated bays.
