We had ever attempted to build our own Yamaha Genos by some measures.

So, here are BassMIDI VSTi, instantiated 32 times, in which each of the instance loads 4 soundfont. We are using VSTHost to host all of those VSTi.

The sense, that we load in total of 128 Soundfonts, in which each soundfont represents a/an MSB of a MIDI voice. each soundfont will have 128 LSB in it. Just like Yamaha Genos with whole spectrum of voices, 128 MSBs.

We expected that the LSB on a MIDI file will change go to bank in that soundfont, and MSB will switch to other soundfont according to its MSB number. Well, We've tried so and it seems that it doesn't work that way.

You see, the VSTi we used is lacking fatally, it does not work that way we expected. LSB does nothing for that VSTi, instead it is MSB that go to bank in this soundfont, and if it overlaps with soundfont number on Additional soundfont, it uses that additional sounfont instead. That's way too different than Yamaha supposed to be which is LSB goes to LSB in the MSB. bruh!

idk, hard to explain. Basically, it's failure, because this VSTi should've respond to LSB and MSB respectively. Banks on Additional soundfont should means MSB, therefore LSB only goes around this soundfont number mentioned.

and that's the only Soundfont VSTi that is the best of the best to work as intended: have a soundfont and properly play according to MIDI instruction. And somehow Falcosoft missed something important here which is that MSB & LSB MIDI command.

C'mon, Yamaha, help us! this is why we need Genos VSTi. it's quite tedious to research, build, workaround, write own, etc. etc. just to authentically experience Genos in tight budget like this.
