Here’s what the system doesn’t want you to know:
𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗹 (𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗡𝗼. 𝟭𝟰𝗡𝗙𝟭𝟭𝟳𝟯):
The Orange County DA violated Chazz’s speedy trial rights under Penal Code § 1382(a)(2). Case dismissed.
𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗹 (Case No. 15NF0507):
The DA failed to hold Chazz’s preliminary hearing within 60 days of arraignment (Penal Code § 859(b)). Dismissed again.
Under California’s strict 𝘁𝘄𝗼‑𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝘂𝗹𝗲 (𝗣𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗲 § 𝟭𝟯𝟴𝟳), a third prosecution is generally barred. But the DA illegally pursued the case a third time – and the Superior Court allowed it, denying Chazz’s pretrial motions to dismiss.
That third filing led to the 2019 conviction we’ve been fighting for 11 years.

The case has been dismissed three different times for three different reasons:
🚫 Speedy trial violation
🚫 Preliminary hearing delay
🚫 R*cist expert testimony (“pimps are generally Black”)
