Today, the people showed up for Chazz, and the judge felt the weight of our solidarity.
While the court did not grant the petition outright today, this fight is FAR from over. In a major development, the judge has officially scheduled Oral Arguments for January 23, 2026, specifically to hear arguments on the multiple, explicit acts of racism in Chazz's case.
This means the court will now formally consider:
➡️ Whether the racist statements by the detective, judge, and expert witness VIOLATED the Racial Justice Act.
➡️ If so, whether these violations CONTRIBUTED to Chazz's wrongful conviction.
This is a critical next step. The door to justice remains wide open.
To the incredible community, friends, and supporters who showed up to the Rally: THANK YOU. Your presence sends an undeniable message that we are watching, and we will not rest until Chazz is free. This is a marathon, not a sprint.
Mark your calendars for the next battle: January 23, 2026. We will be back, louder and stronger. The evidence is clear, the law is on our side, and our movement is growing.
