Our first ask of WoX admins, "i. Immediately remove the user in question from their job, and acknowlede their errors in failing to provide an appropriate consequence for the user's actions to begin with. Apologize on behalf of the user for the harm her statements caused; and apologize for the harm they caused by refusing to hold her accountable.," has happened. The user in question is no longer a member of WoX admin!

We are excited that MUGWUMPs have taken this important step to restoring the safety and comfort of WoX sites and are hopeful that because of this step, it means our voices may be listened to in the future. However, there is still a ways to go. Two of our three requests have not been accomplished and while the user was removed from her position, MUGWUMPs have not acknowledged that they were negligent in their original response to complaints. There is still cultural appropriation across sites along with dismissal and a general lack of respect for POC voices. 

With this in mind, the petition has been reworded slightly and amended to include the following point: 
iv. Amend the rules of all WoX sites to include clearly defined anti-racism policies. Include rules about the use of slurs and racial microaggressions, cultural appropriation, and ethnicity bending/the appropriate use of POC faceclaims and names. Clearly state that racism on WoX sites will NOT be tolerated in any form. Consult POC on WoX to ensure that these rules represent their needs and protect their culture, and appoint POC to admin teams to handle issues of appropriation and to advise users on how to properly represent their culture.
