We have made great strides from our humble beginnings in 2013 when we first rescued Duo Duo, our mascot, from the dog meat trade. However, our journey has barely begun. We believe that education is the key and with your support, we have hosted educational events and classes to the locals; started a pet cafe to promote the idea that animals have a place in society; sponsored the International Spay and Neuter Summit in Da Lin, China and much much more.
Our goal is to raise at least $500,000 which we will use in two ways:
1) Build a dog park in Yulin. Both the locals and dogs will benefit from this new social experience and we believe that this space will provide the opportunity to see dogs as an integral part of society.
2) Kickstart a dog toy production line to show the local population that they can make additional income from a booming PET CARE industry rather than from the DOG MEAT industry. We have already seen the positive effects of our dog bandana industry, employing many Yulin women. Our education center in Yulin is a hit with local children and grown-ups alike.
