Stop sending this so-called "Odd" food from being sent to landfill. This waste is outrageous
This petition had 477 supporters
Each person every year wastes up to 200kg of food a year, an average household throws away about $3500 worth of edible and delicious food a year, a banana is a bit too curved, a bit a too fat or big, does not get sold in supermarkets due to supermarket specifications.... Does this surprise you? Well, this is all very true as spoken on "War on Waste". Food that is perfectly edible and tasty doesn't even leave the farm because of stupid supermarket specifications which are inferred to be "us" as consumer's specifications. Some people on the other side of the world don't even get any food and supermarkets criticising fruit just by its size or shape. I mean who cares??! As long as it's fresh and healthy, it is good to eat. We need to stop this outrageous problem and start taking more action. Sign this petition and start pushing your local supermarkets to change their cosmetic specifications.
