If we make palm oil labelling mandatory then we can save orangutans. Through my research I have found that more than 50% of the products in the supermarket contain palm oil. Palm oil is in many popular products such as Twisties and Kraft Peanut Butter. It is also found in products such as Fantastic crackers.

 Unknown to most people palm oil is a major contributor to the deforestation in Indonesia and Malaysia. This deforestation is causing iconic animals such as the orangutan and the Sumatran tigers to become endangered. When we plant oil palm trees for the palm oil we are destroying these precious animals homes. How would you like it if someone came and destroyed your home?
