Help Save Heritage Trees in Woollahra

The issue

The Residents of Woollahra, Sydney are in shock.

Council has slated an avenue of cherished, heritage-listed, fifty-year-old, London Plane trees to be mulched in Rosemont Avenue.

It's a chainsaw massacre.

The solution is to maintain and properly prune them.  Our tree-scape is part of our future.

If we lose these precious trees, Woollahra Council will be committing heritage heresy.

Our Arborist's Report supports our view:  the cathedral-like canopy is not dead or dying.  These vibrant trees are part of a natural cooling canopy, add to personal amenity and are celebrated by Sydney-siders generally.

Their loss will be a dangerous precedent for other councils and neighbourhoods across Australia.
