The focus that the director seems to be taking is extension into Peterborough which is even further out than Cambridge and does not solve the issue regarding having absolutely nothing available between London and Cambridge. That is 62 miles with nothing.
Secondly there has not been an address of the redundancy of many staff in place of the upcoming foster carers - how can you preach helping people when your long term staff is being set aside?
and finally logistics. Is money really not a driving force? That remains to be proven BUT Justin has provided a pack of information for transparent that I will review in the coming days.
Justin defines Heydon as “not flexible” and was basing this on not having dogs. I would need to fact check but as far as I know Wood Green owns the land Heydon is on and there is plenty of space to expand the cattery or smalls or both! Why can this not be considered? Why is building on an existing force not a chosen plan?
I still do not understand why you would revoke an existing, well established and necessary branch like Heydon in exchange for an impersonal “animal collection and delivery service”. This just doesn’t seem feasible long term nor on a rehoming level.
