She's been with me through all of it — my fiancée, Hannah

This is us. On New Year's Eve, I was walking back to my Amazon van on Union Blvd when a pickup truck hit me at 45 mph and threw me into the air. The driver got out, stood over me, screamed at me — then drove off and left me bleeding in the street.

Emergency surgery that night. I still live with the injuries every day. This Wednesday at 9 AM, the driver has his plea hearing.

She's been with me through all of it. My fiancée, Hannah.
