Brilliant article in the Guardian today by Kehinde Andrews.
Kehinde Andrews is a senior lecturer in sociology at Birmingham University. His research specialism is race and racism and he recently published a book Resisting Racism: Race, Inequality and the Black Supplementary School Movement. He is also the Chair of Organisation of Black Unity.

I am asking as many people who can please respond to it. We met with the Barbican yesterday and were met with fierce opposition. They are NOT going to withdraw the exhibition so we GO TO WAR. They were unable to defend any of Brett Bailey's statements in an article where he accused us of "Mob hysteria".
Yesterday we made history lobbying outside the City of London!! So this is not going to stop here.
TOMORROW IS YOUR CHANCE TO HAVE A VOICE AND LET THE BARBICAN KNOW THEY CANNOT FOB US OFF WITH "DEEPLY OFFENSIVE" RACIST ART!!!
Over 19,000 have signed this petition we are not "wrong" nor have we "interpreted" the piece. The ONLY board member who has seen the piece is the SAME one who has COMMISSIONED it.
THE BARBICAN KNOW THEY ARE "WRONG" HOWEVER THEY CLAIM THAT THE SHOW IS SOLD OUT MEANING 750 PEOPLE HAVE PURCHASED TICKETS AT £20.00 PLUS FEE.
THIS IS NOW ABOUT MONEY!!! 19,000 VS 750 you do the maths!!!
WE NEED TO SHOW THEM WE MEAN BUSINESS!!!!!!
As many of you who can come out please do!!!
12:30pm March from Moorgate to the Barbican
1pm Rally at the Barbican.
2pm Petition Hand in.
See you there!!!
