Over the weekend, Caswell Frankiln the leader of Unity Trade Union made a startling discovering when reading the Amendment to the NIS Bill.  He found  that the word BOARD has been replaced by STATE in some parts of the document to the effect that the amendment has given over the authority of the Board to the Prime Minister.  The amendment has given the Prime Minister the authority  over the funds of the NIS.

Based on what we have seen to date, the Prime Minister is not a good manager of money. She has written off debt as though it was water, then turned around and went on a borrowing spree that no one knows when it will end.  She has increased taxation and we have also found out that $80 Billion in unaccounted for.  All this has happened  while the QEH is in a dire state. We wonder if the $80 Billion  has been given away. She now seeking to sell all the government assets that she can get her hands on, even government headquarters  (that is like a person selling their home whilst their family still lives there) and St Anns Forte.

We cannot afford to have a person who is so loose with money and does not understand basic economics responsible for the management of the people's money that comprises the National Insurance Scheme.  In two twos, she will lick it cold through bad investments and giveaways.  There will be no pensions left for anyone.  You will actually  have to work until you die.  All our labour would have gone down the drain.

That being said, it is  very important that every Barbadian come out to the march on Saturday, to let her know that we the people of Barbados oppose this Bill and its intent.  The quality of the lives that we and our future generations will live depends on it.
