Your are the 6th and 7th generation from slavery. It may be hard to imagine but the sweat, the tears, the blood and the lives of our ancestors made Barbados what it is today. They left the island for us as our inheritance but sadly it is all being given away.
After years of using your national insurance fund as their personal piggy bank, Government wants to legislate that those funds be used for private sector projects. That will make it easier for them to give away what you worked hard for. They will no longer have to hide and give away land at places like Coverley, Chancery Lane or Bushy Park.
We must not let them proceed to go to the Senate on Wednesday and pass any bill that will disadvantage any person including those born after 1966 or those yet unborn.
Our ancestors fought for us and the life that we now enjoy. Had they given up, we would not be here today. They have passed the baton on to you. It is now your turn to stand up and fight for Barbadians yet unborn.
Thank you for signing the petition, please encourage every young person to do so. Come out and March on Saturday 12th August, 2023.
God will make a way.
