Keep a MURDERER Behind Bars

The Issue

Eric S. Nelson was convicted of first-degree intentional homicide for his involvement in a crime that presiding Kenosha County Circuit Court Judge Bruce Schroeder described as “an assassination”: The brutal murder of well-respected Kenosha County Wisconsin community member Joseph Vite. Nelson used a .308 hunting rifle to fire the fatal shot into Mr. Vite’s head, as the unsuspecting victim walked into his own home on the evening of Jan. 16, 1985. Now, after years of petitioning for his release, Nelson is poised to be granted parole and released back into the community. We, the undersigned, respectfully request that the Wisconsin Parole Commission deny release of Eric S. Nelson, now and at any time in the future.
