Be, Make a Change.

To start, I would like to take a moment to appreciate the beauty of our Planet. Embrace our oneness with the Earth, there is no separation. We are the Earth and the Earth is us. The Earth's changes are our changes. The destruction of the Earth, is our destruction. So, as we become at peace and unify in love, compassion, and gratitude, the Earth also shifts in love and peace. Almost a year passed since the last (known) meeting regarding plastic bags, resolutions to work with the Chamber of Commerce, plans to distribute reusable bags to make KB citizens “aware”. No real change has been noticed. This update is to bring awareness to you wherever you are, to remember that: “We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children”. -Native American Proverb. Every little action counts. Be, make a Change. Plastic bags are still given for free at many places, restaurants, CVS, Winn-Dixie. Couple stores already changed for paper bags. Congratulations! But from the main polluters- CVS and Winn-Dixie, no action taken. Let us do our part. Please remember, when you go shopping don’t forget to carry a reusable bag. Also, try to avoid purchasing items with too much packaging. This way you can help in contributing towards the environment in the form of reducing plastic pollution. * Decline the bag. * Bring your reusable bag. * Re-use the plastic bags yourself.
