Say NO to Plastic Bags

The resolution that was presented this week by the Village Council was not a plastic bag ban ,at least for now. The Council decided to work with the Key Biscayne Chamber of Commerce to urge businesses and vendors to stop using plastic bags and polystyrene containers. Now the time has come and we ask Winn-Dixie and CVS Pharmacy to discontinue plastic bag usage in Key Biscayne. We need education and awareness. An environmentally sustainable society is a community which is in balance with nature. That is that people in society do actions that are good for mother earth.
