Winners,
It’s been a wild ride since the Republican Party of Texas (RPT) convention in San Antonio in May, where we convinced delegates not to include abortion on the list of the top 8 RPT legislative priorities for the first time since 2016. Thankfully, Texas delegates recognized which issues are most important to most voters!
There was an immediate response from lobbyists funded by a small group of influential Texas billionaires, and perhaps nefarious others, who wish to divide us. Again, we question whether those willing to ‘die on the hill’ of their religious ideologies are truly representing Republican values. Republicans want Republicans to win elections. Republicans believe in individual liberty and tolerate dissent.
Our efforts continue to get press: Gilda Bayegan’s compelling testimony, before the RPT priorities committee, went viral with 114K views on X, Yahoo News, and more. The Houston Chronicle also featured an op-ed she penned about her experience.
Last month, Caroline Kitchener, the Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter from the Washington Post, came down from DC to learn about our group, prompted by a Texas Right to Life lobbyist who singled us out.
Her long awaited WaPo article regarding Right to Win (RTW) was published this morning. She tells an accurate story of how RTW was targeted after the convention.
Despite the coordinated effort to silence us, Right to Win (RTW) remains a growing, cohesive force, providing the strategic path to Republican success in November and beyond.
This publicity makes people aware that the Republican majority is reasonable, not a fringe group of intolerant, religious zealots -as Republicans are so often portrayed.
More importantly, a member of the RNC platform committee in Milwaukee let us know today that the WaPo article is helping Trump’s efforts to ensure the passage of the shortened new RNC platform. For the first time in decades, the RNC platform omits the mention of abortion. Great work all!
We are all making a tremendous impact and we should all be proud. More to come…
Win or Else!
Right to Win!
Our country needs us, and our path is clear. We must also continue to send our message to the RNC at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee this. Visit our website and write to RNC Chairman Whatley saying, “I want the Right to Win this election! I stand with www.righttowin.net
