Petition updateKeep Short-Term Rentals Legal in WilmingtonContact the City Council re: Important Meeting Monday and Tuesday
North Carolina Alliance for Neighborhood Prosperity
Apr 12, 2017
Good afternoon short-term rental advocates,
The notes from the March 14th Public Input Meeting will be presented to City Council on Monday, the 17th, at 8:30 a.m. at City Hall in the Lord Spencer Compton Conference Room, 102 North Third Street, Wilmington, NC.
Council can do whatever they want, regardless of what they have captured from public input, and that two of the loudest voices on the council are pushing for elimination of short-term rentals. Unless other Council members speak up for property rights and economic prosperity, the vote will go the way of the loudest voices.
Reportedly, there have not been a lot of phone calls or e-mails to City Council, or the Mayor.
It is imperative that we contact the City Council Members and Mayor this week and next week. This could go to a vote at any time, and without hearing from us (via phone calls or e-mails) this could easily end up as a big loss for Wilmington.
Please call or e-mail, and please show up at the Monday morning meeting (at City Hall/Thalian Hall). This is the most critical time for us to make ourselves seen. If you aren't able to attend, please ask someone that you know to show up.
Here are the phone numbers and e-mail addresses for the Mayor and City Council:

If you choose to e-mail the Council, please be sure to cc the Mayor.
Also, please consider attending the Tuesday, April 18th meeting of City Council at 6:30 p.m. There, you can speak for 5 minutes, if you fill out a request to speak form and hand it in to the City Clerk's office by noon on Monday, April 17.
