Caffe Nero Bans a pensioner for seeking legal action and recording a conversation; after having a hand placed near his face and waved from side to side in one of their stores.

I am starting this petition to get Caffe Nero to rectify a wrong done to a friend of mine, please support this petition, and share to as many people as possible and ask them to join this petition.

This is a petition started to show support for a pensioner, who had used a Caffe Nero in Felixstowe, most days for the past 4-year’s, he has now been banned for continuing to seek an apology for the actions of two managers of Caffe Nero.

The pensioner was at the counter in Caffe Nero. He was trying to stand up for a new worker who was having difficulties at the till. The pensioner only got as far as saying, “its ok she has” he got no further, as the pensioner then had a hand placed across the counter in front of his face and waved from side to side, and told; “This is work business “by the assistant manageress.

When the pensioner asked the store manager the next day for an apology. He informed the manager that if he received an apology, he would be prepared to leave it as settled. Two days later the manager at the store said, they had both (he and the manageress) viewed the CCTV footage and there was nothing on the recording as the pensioner had said even though the CCTV camera was right above the till area, so no apology, and indicating that the pensioner had made it up.

The pensioner because of his principles persisted to insist on an apology to no avail. To prove he was telling the truth, the pensioner recorded a conversation with one of the managers who had said it had not happened as the pensioner had described. The member of staff stated on the recording that they had in fact, seen exactly what the pensioner had said happened; and yet still no apology. The pensioner reported the context of the recording, to the area manager. Once again no apology or action was taken, regarding the context of the recording.

Is this a coincidence?

A young male around 30 years old, whom he had never spoken to before followed the pensioner, out of the store. He then proceeded to verbally abuse the pensioner outside the store. He was later confirmed to be a friend, of the manageress, the pensioner told him he was recording what he was saying to him and later reported it to a Caffe Nero area manager.

The pensioner stated to the area manager that he would be seeking legal advice against the two managers of the Caffe Nero store, for defaming his character and reputation by telling people he had made this all up, also making him appear to be someone that was telling lies.

 

Two days later, a regional manager of Caffe Nero emailed the pensioner; he told him that he was banning the pensioner from the store because he had stated he would be seeking legal advice, and also that he had recorded a conversation with the manager (even though it proved the pensioners claim). The regional manager said it would make his staff feel “uncomfortable" if he allowed the pensioner to continue using the store.

The pensioner also emailed the CEO of Caffe Nero, and did not receive any confirmation nor reply to his emails at all.

All the pensioner has wanted was a simple apology; instead, he is the person that is banned!

We hope that you will join this petition and also share this with as many Facebook friends and boycott Caffe Nero stores or use them less frequently until an apology, is forthcoming to the pensioner by Caffe Nero.
