Contract Faculty (often referred to as Contract Academic Staff, CAS) make an important contribution to the quality of education students receive at Laurier. However, without adequate compensation, job security, or health benefits their contributions are grossly under-valued. When students fail to engage on these issues, we perpetuate the injustices carried out against Contract Faculty.  

This petition is intended to demonstrate students' support of Contract Academic Staff as they negotiate with the WLU administration to improve the conditions of their employment. We need to stand in solidarity with Contract Faculty.
