Cooke Aquaculture owns all of the commercial net-pens in Puget Sound, including the collapsed Cypress Island facility featured in Artifishal. As you saw in the film, these open-water net pens, with their tons of fecal waste, parasites and pathogens are pushing endangered wild salmon, and the southern resident killer whales that depend on them, closer to extinction. The plan? Lease the net-pen sites out from under Cooke, evict the fish farms and restore our public waters for the benefit of all.
