Wigan Council's consultation period ends on 30th Sept. Just two weeks away. To date :- I am pleased to inform you our petitions total stands at 481 signatures of support. We are aware of a minimum of 52 formal objections submitted to Wigan Council. We are informed many more objections have been sent in response to letters sent to local residents. This response, to date, is excellent. We must demonstrate our strong opposition to send a loud and clear message to Wigan Council in support of local residents. Please share our petition with friends, family, email, facebook, twitter etc. We need as many people as possible to submit a formal objection. It does not matter where you live. In the consultation with residents the issue of excessive noise was raised regarding the Kings Arms, especially in relation to the nearby care home. I have therefore written to Admiral Taverns who own this pub to remind them of their responsibilities to the local community in time for any new manager takes up their post.
