For decades, the city of Wichita Falls, Texas has been home for a diverse and dedicated community committed to making our city a haven of safety, innovation, public service, and faith.  Our diversity makes us stronger in commerce and in influence beyond the borders of our city.  

• Wichita Falls is home to people of all faiths who offered prayers for rain in the midst of drought. 
• Wichita Falls is home to people of all political persuasions who seek to better our city, county, state, and country.
• Wichita Falls is home to families of all kinds - two-parent households, single-parent households, gay and straight and transgender, extended family supporting, young and not-so-young - bringing a strong and educated generation of leaders to the forefront of world leadership.
• Wichita Falls is home to people of all racial and ethnic backgrounds who support the success of our economy and who work hard to better our community.

It's time to celebrate our unity through diversity in Wichita Falls. It's time to be a city where all people may feel safe to celebrate who they are and hope to be.  It's time to be a city that proudly declares, "We are ALL Wichita Falls".  

At our next City Council meeting - June 14, 2016 - let's declare June "Wichita Falls Diversity Pride Month" and celebrate openly the diversity that makes us a unique and exciting place to live!
