We are truly grateful and humbled by the response to this call for justice to preserve the victim dignity and respect. We would also like to thank CBS4 Denver and other media outlets for raising awareness about this petition. As the surviving victims and the public continue to mourn these tragic and senseless deaths, we must not forget that we have the right to hold our government accountable and we have the right to government transparency; rights that Christopher Lee Watts robbed his victims of on that dismal mid-August night/morning. This petition is not intended as a subjective opinion on the morality and ethics of Chris Watts having pictures of his victims. This petition is about using our rights to preserve the rights and dignity of Shanann, Bella, CeCe, and Nico.
This petition calls on the WI DOC and public officials to practice integrity by considering their mission for victim advocacy, public safety, and finally their own policies when making decisions that impact all three issues. With that said, I am thrilled that our petition has reached the 5K milestone; however, (not surprisingly) we have not received a response from the WI DOC with any decisions regarding the pictures being removed from Watts' possession. We are always on the side of justice, therefore, we are convinced that if we continue sharing this petition and continue demanding that the WI DOC treat Watts as they do other inmates, our voices will be heard and those photographs will be confiscated. So please, keep sharing, signing, let's have our voices heard.
Thank you all very much! Every voice matters!
