Now, the Whole Foods shareholder meeting is just under a month away, on September 15 in Charlotte, NC. What a great opportunity for us to put pressure on the company directly to end food waste because of “uglies." In addition to being food activists, many of us are Whole Foods customers and shareholders -- I shop there myself, although not so much for produce since farmers' markets offer a better price and uglies.
