Please note that this petition is being initiated by an 8 year old boy who would like to make a change in the world and is taking action against ADT home security system (recent merge with Brinks/Broadview). ADT airs violent commercials illustrating strange men violently breaking into families homes during children's programming hours. "The intention behind these strategically placed commercials is to create fear so that the child will only feel safe if a security system is in the home," as reported by a former ADT employee and acquaintance.  Children can develop anxiety, sleep disturbance and other such issues as a result. Children have a right to feel safe in their own house regardless of whether or not a security system is installed. Please help protect our children's innocence, and please help me support my 8 year old son's cause to eliminate these types of violent commercials during children's programming hours. The following is a message from my 8 year old son:

"ADT puts bad commercials on during cartoon hours and hours that kids watch stuff. I think this is wrong because it makes kids scared. They are trying to make kids scared so that they can sell their product. This should not be allowed. Help me stand against ADT! Please sign my petition to eliminate these commercials."
