Look at what's happened: * Thanks to you and the support of US Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and US Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA), World Lymphedema Day passed the US Senate in a unanimous vote. * The New York State legislature became the first governing body in the world to officially recognize March 6 as World Lymphedema Day. This milestone would not have happened without your voices and the commitment of Assemblymember Linda B. Rosenthal and Senator Martin J. Golden. * On the World Lymphedema Day petition site, 3,000 people have left comments, telling the world why we need more recognition for this disease. * 600 people have changed their social media profile pictures on Facebook and Twitter to raise awareness. * World Lymphedema Day will be honored in New Dehli, India at the AIIMS International Surgical Conference where the LE&RN India Chapter will present a lymphedema session on March 6. * Ottawa, Canada, became the first municipality to recognize World Lymphedema Day.
