"Upon hearing NBC’s announcement that the network is canceling Hannibal, fans of the show known as “Fannibals” have launched a campaign to save the dark drama. From a petition on change.org that’s gained a lot of momentum over the past week, to using the hashtags “SaveHannibal and #LetHannibalLive on Twitter, Fannibals aren’t taking the news of Hannibal’s cancellation lightly. They’re determined to make their voices heard to save the show, and they’re succeeding. Several websites have spotlighted the Hannibal petition including Business Insider, Movie Pilot, Verge, and the NY Post. The petition on change.org, created by Carlos Mazal, is directed to NBC with the title, “What are you thinking? Renew Hannibal.” At this time there are over 70,300 signatures. The original goal was to reach 50,000, but now the number has been upped to 75,000. With less than 5,000 signatures to go, it’s likely that number will be reached, too."
