I utilized Woodstock Hospitals website to make a formal complaint. If you have had an unfortunate experience with this facility please email patientfeedback@woodstockhospital.ca to discuss it.
I am willing to advocate for anyone willing to share their story with me (I know it can be intimidating trying to resolve an issue with a large entity such as a hospital), but due to privacy laws you must give your consent for them to begin an investigation involving any of your medical records. If I may be blunt: I don’t want to meddle in your private business. I am not a legal representative. As well, lack the experience to properly handle everything required to FULLY handle any of your own malpractice claims, or reporting negative experiences on your behalf.
COMMUNICATION UPDATE:
- As of today the 27th of October, 2022 I have received a response to my formal complaint via email.
- The Quality and Risk Facilitator of Woodstock hospital apologized for my negative experience.
- They have assured me an investigation will begin.
- Offered for me to have a meeting with the care team after the investigation.
- I gave information to aid in the investigation.
- Noted that a meeting with the aforementioned team would be acceptable. Under the provision all parties are accepting and respectful.
SIDE NOTE:
As far as my pneumonia goes; the antibiotics are doing their job and I’m seeing gradual improvements. However at night, it’s rough regardless. I would compare it to when I was 6-10 and suffered from severe asthma. I can feel the fluid rattling in my air sacs (gradually being coughed up), and my sleep is continually disrupted. I cannot wait for this to be over and back to good health so I can annoy my children!
Wishing my supporters the best and that they stay healthy and safe.
Have a good night all, thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
B. Dixon
