Petition updateUse alternative methods, NOT toxic aerial spray on industrial tree farms in Sky Valley, WA

Thank you for your support for our Change.org petition!

SVENA (Skykomish Valley Environmental & Economic Alliance)
Aug 13, 2017
We appreciate your support against massive aerial toxic spraying on tree farms by timber corporations in the Skykomish River Valley. It takes place every spring and fall. Toxic air and water drift is very much a reality. The biggest concern is children and pregnant women. We have over 150 signatures by now and are aiming for 500. Please spread the word and share our petition and information with your family, friends, neighbors and on social media. It is still not too late to stop aerial spraying planned for this fall. There are 6 Forest Practice Applications (FPAs) by Weyerhaeuser and Sierra Pacific sitting in the system and ready for approval by the WA Department of Natural Resources (DNR). Our big hope to stop the toxic spraying is getting more signatures for this petition, and also contacting Weyerhaeuser at Kelly.Dougherty@weyerhaeuser.com (360-424-2014), Sierra Pacific at 360-424-7619, DNR at northwest.region@dnr.wa.gov ( 360-856-3500), elected officials and press available at https://svena.org/contact-list-for-press-and-elected/. What happens next is all up to us. More info is at svena.org and SVENA Facebook page. The latest info is posted on our Facebook page. Please like the page to be updated regularly.
