Don’t let your guard down!

This fight to stop the massive buildout on the historic Westminster Farm is far from over.
Oread Capital/Uplands, has done a series of “community meetings” to sell their proposals to the city. The October meeting in Shaw Heights saw Oread owner, Jeff Handlin, finger-wag and tell the meeting they were building this whether the community wants it or not. Here is a video clip from the “Uplands Team” show-and-tell where Handlin is “talking to the community”: https://www.youtubetrimmer.com/view/?v=an8qZAIgA9M&start=591&end=664

Keep writing the Planning Department and point out the flaws in the developer’s proposals. Water gap, traffic impact, lack of open-space in the neighborhood, “design” concept that changes the character of the surrounding communities. All these issues should be addressed.

Give a donation this holiday season—GoFundMe for Save Westminster Farm!
Here is the link to donate to the Save Westminster Farm campaign. We need to have the funds for hiring professional engineers to help review of technical water, drainage, traffic, and environmental submittals from the Uplands developers. As lay-people, we have found flaws in some of the reports and called them out to city planning. To have professional reviews will help find more. Please, if you can, donate to the effort and help make our $2500 goal.
