Re: Golf Course and Facility Update Date: March 24th, 2016 As many of you know, Wood Wind Golf Club, through the latter part of 2015, appeared as though it may be purchased as a residential development and that the golf course would be eliminated as part of that development. There were many wonderful people within the community of Westfield who “fought” for the future of the golf course. We are happy to say that we think that the future of Wood Wind Golf Club is very bright and that it would appear that the golf course will remain as a golf course well into the future. WOOD WIND GOLF CLUB is OPEN and doing very well. Thank you for your support and please help us spread the word!! Once the word came that Wood Wind Golf Club would continue to operate as a golf course, our team of people (Cohoat and O’Neal Management Corp.) reengaged and began the process of preparing the golf course for 2016. The following projects have been completed: All the bunkers on the golf course and the practice bunker have been re-furbished, edged, drainage has been repaired and additional sand has been added. They look great! Drainage on the golf course has been repaired in many areas. The same old spots where water would stand after heavy rains have now been repaired. That will be a huge improvement The restroom facilities on the golf course have been cleaned, sanitized, new fixtures have been added, we have added new tile, new handicap “grab” bars and new paint has been applied We “aerified” the greens a couple of weeks ago and they have healed beautifully. The pavilion has been painted and looks terrific. The pavilion provides a wonderful venue for any special event Jake Peacock is our new Head Golf Professional Jeff Cohoat is our new General Manager Jeff Eldridge and his team will make sure that the golf course and grounds look great from start to finish Keltie Domina and her team will direct the food and beverage Tracy Schooler is our new Director of Instruction. Give him a call…. He is a fabulous person and an outstanding instructor. (843.475.8222) “Shep” will continue to lead our great group of starters and rangers Monday and Wednesday Night Leagues are ramping up and ready to go in April! Couples League – is happening in 2016! Ladies League Tuesday Night Choose Up & instructional clinics starting in April! This past year we had three young men and one young lady receive the coveted Evans Scholars scholarship. All four of them caddied at Wood Wind Golf Club and Prairie View Golf Club. It could not have happened without you!
