Feb 4, 2017
Hello, all!
Yes, I know it been quiet from us here in regards to the red pill screening but for a good reason. We're been busy either planning our secret backup screening on campus and or trying to get any type of response out of our university as to why they cancelled our event in the first place.
Good news is we have a meeting (15th February) with the vice chancellor responsible for the cancellation and we believe this meeting will allow us to plan for future red pill screenings on campus. Yes we the Sceptic Society of Western Sydney U will be hosting numerous screenings without an end date planned ahead. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Bettina Arndt for helping us set up this meeting and Jasmin Newman from relating to men along with Men's Rights Sydney without their constant support in helping us we wouldn't have even made it this far.
I understand some of you still haven't seen the red pill film yet and would be plenty pissed that you've missed out on two opportunities now, but please understand the secret screening on the 4th of February was intended for those with a fair amount of social reach, what this means is the media and some social commentators were given invitations with the intention of watching this film in order to give fair and accurate reviews. As you've already read/seen thus far too much misinformation is being presented about this film as it is, and it's that reason alone that has caused the numerous cancellations we've already seen from around the world. WSU Sceptics are committed to battling misinformation and in saying that we utterly refuse to back down in the attempts to spread misinformation and enact censorship because of the ideas others disagree with or even supposedly understand in the first place.
We would also like to take this opportunity to call out any racist or sexist criticisms we will no doubt receive after this update. In the past, we've observed how it's customary to point out how men's rights gatherings tend to be "white men only events" in a bid to paint MRAs as, hypocritically enough! Racist and sexist. Unless you can actually provide evidence to the advancement of sexist/racist agenda's by men's rights groups (actual men's rights groups, not just what you think are MRAs because of some obscure belief they all have the same "talking points" like PUAs, Neo-masculinists or the Alt-right) Then you will only end up serving as examples of the type of people spreading misinformation we've just been mentioning. We cannot control who so wishes to attend our events, but if we were staunched racists/sexists why would we tolerate any diversity whatsoever?
Oh and just another thing too, please note being this was a secret screening, of course, the number of people you see in the photo's we present are going to be small in number, last time we had plans on filling a 500 seated lecture theatre and look where that got us! Not everyone that attended the event was comfortable having their photo taken why should they be considering how popular it is nowadays to lump MRAs in with Nazis and we all know how many of you love announcing to the world how eager you are to assault nazis.
