Calls to update cat laws to protect endangered species are growing louder in Bunbury.

Local resident Jodi Larke has expressed frustration at inadequate cat laws that are endangering rare ringtail possums. “Bunbury needs to follow the lead of Manjimup and implement laws that provide greater protection”, she said.

Bunbury vet Brandon Collins has backed these calls stating, “Cats are very efficient killers.”
