Dear Friends - we thank you and Playland thanks you for the incredible response and show of love and support for this wonderful Park! Many of you have expressed yourselves beautifully in the comments. You can continue to help Playland! We know from the last petition three years ago to initially save the Amusement Park from being razed by Sustainable Playland Inc ("SPI" - the original deal to take over the Park that finally failed to get approval in June of 2014), 1,000 signatures is a magic mark. When the first petition to save Playland hit 1,000 signatures both the media and the County started to take notice. It took about a week for that to happen. We are well on our way to surpassing that number within the first week. In just a little over 72 hours online, this new petition has gathered close to 600 signatures. If every person who has signed already can get just FIVE MORE people to sign, we can send a clear message to County Legislators and the County Executive's office that we want Playland to stay PUBLICLY owned and operated and we want the County to finally step up to the plate and TAKE CARE of this gem.
