We want an accountable Westchester Human Rights Commission

We, the undersigned residents and taxpayers of the County of Westchester, hereby request to see a 2016 annual report of the activities and work of the Westchester Human Rights Commission.
We support the leadership of Legislators Alfreda Williams and Catherine Parker among others in asking for the creation of a database of incidents in Westchester County along with a plan to work with local municipalities, schools and police departments. We also need an email or hotline whereby the public can easily contact the Human Rights Commission with reports of incidents.
We would like to see the Westchester County Human Rights Commission engage in public education events where they talk about bias incidents along with remedies and protections that are available.
How many complaints in 2016 were reported to the HRC? What were the nature of these complaints? How were the complaints responded to? How many public meetings and community information sessions were conducted by the HRC? How is the Westchester Human Rights Commission getting the word out to Westchester County residents about the existence of the Westchester Human Rights Commission and the services that are provided? What is the policy regarding responding to phone calls and emails?
