Ashland University recognizes Anthony Cole’s high standard of scholarship and commitment to professional and public service. Anthony went from skipping classes to being a scholar. From hurting the community to dedicating himself to bettering the community. And all of this he has accomplished while in prison. I can only imagine how much he can do outside. How much he can offer the community. Weather it be utilizing his communication skills to guide the misguided. Encouraging fitness utilizing his knowledge of weight training and exercise physiology. Or utilizing his paralegal certification to work for the state and offer guidance, counseling, or defense for those without. Or all of the above. I believe the community, especially in Huntington, wrought with misguided souls, requires a man like Anthony Cole. Requires a man who can say I have been in that hole, I have done awful things too. He can show them another way, show them a way out, and in the process, help heal the community he hurt eleven years ago. Please share this with your friends and family to demonstrate that people can change under the right conditions and with the willingness to accept one’s own flaws and sins.
