This Monday be #FiredUp with us too!

Dear #FiredUp Supporter, Firstly, thank you for signing our petition and helping us to try and make the Fire Authority see sense that the issuing of 'flexible' contracts to firefighters is wrong, risking fire cover to respond to non-emergencies is unacceptable and the watering down of a firefighters profession is intolerable. We have amassed over 8000 signatures on our petition with some well known names showing their support such as TV legend Nick Knowles, Paul Heaton of The Beautiful South fame and goalkeeping superstar Neville Southall. On Monday 29th January, we will be holding a social media push to raise the profile of our campaign even more. And you too can join in... We are asking our supports to take photos or take a selfie with a home made sign saying "I support West Midlands Firefighters! #FiredUp". It would be great if you could join in and Tweet your image tagging @WestMidlandsFBU and making sure the Fire Authority Chair is tagged in @JohnEdwards33 and @WestMidsFire. It would also be great to see Facebook filling up with these images also. If you don't fancy taking a photo of yourself, a Tweet or Facebook post of support is great too.
