Thank you to everyone who has signed so far, we will continue to gather signatures to bring this petition forward at various points as we continue to call for accountability from Bowkett et al.
Thanks to the petition the media has finally picked up this story, and it’s up to us as residents to continue to pressure her to publicly address her behaviour or resign.
Join our short and sweet protest on Thursday:
WHAT: The new Victoria City Council will be sworn in on Thursday, November 5th at 10am inside City Hall.
Plan is to gather at the front doors of city hall around 9:30am and make a lot of noise between 10-10:30ish. Bring drums, misc noisemakers and signs. The purpose is to spread awareness of the issues surrounding Bowkett and the other new council members who got elected via the Firefighters Union endorsements.
WHY: Bowkett has recently been under scrutiny after failing to address her history of unprofessional online behaviour, more info here:

This peaceful protest is intended to raise further awareness of her failure to take accountability for her actions, and to draw attention to the other newly elected council members who were not only aware of her views but assisted in suppressing the information to the public during the election.
*SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS*
***GENERAL - we will be gathering in a public space so we only can do so much. Please feel free to invite people without sharing the event in groups here supporters are likely to frequent. Also because it is a public space, there is potential for police presence. We are working to have legal observers available for the duration we will be gathering.
